Native iOS app · AI fridge scanning · meal planning
Product strategy · UX/UI design · iOS development · AI vision · subscription product
The app used the phone camera to recognise food, turn it into a living inventory and suggest recipes around what was actually available. When someone made a meal, the ingredients used could be reflected in that inventory instead of leaving them with another list to maintain.
I designed and built the native iOS product from the initial idea through launch. Computer vision, recipe discovery, nutrition, cooking guidance and meal scheduling worked as one connected experience rather than a collection of separate tools.

01
Camera recognition · barcode · receipt · manual entry
The camera recognises several ingredients in one view and keeps the results visible as the person moves around the fridge. Barcode, receipt and manual modes give them practical alternatives when the camera is not the fastest route.
Recognised food flows into My Fridge, where quantities stay editable and produce, dairy and protein can be filtered without hiding the full inventory.
02
Available ingredients · recipe search · useful comparisons
The home screen brings daily nutrition and the digital fridge into the same view, then keeps recently viewed meals close by. Recipe discovery shows how many ingredients are already available and what is missing before someone commits to an idea.
People can still search by intent—quick meals, snacks, workouts, energy or healthier options—without losing the practical connection to the food they already own.
03
Calories · macros · health score · guided steps
Each recipe brings time, calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat into a clear summary. A health score translates those numbers into findings someone can understand, including protein balance and energy levels.
Ingredients and cooking steps then carry the same visual structure into the kitchen. Highlighted actions make long instructions easier to follow, and marking a meal as consumed closes the loop with the digital fridge.
04
Meal calendar · dietary preferences · personal settings
Meals can be placed on future dates from the same product used to discover them. The calendar keeps planned dishes visual, so the week is understandable at a glance rather than hidden inside another list.
Dietary preferences, allergies, notifications and account settings shape what the app suggests. That personal context keeps AI recommendations relevant while the core flow remains simple.
